Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our site or booking our services.

Scope

These Terms govern your use of afroeatgrills.com and any ordering, enquiries, reviews, or bookings with AfroEat Grills (Afroeat LTD). Additional booking terms apply to private catering and events.

Using our site

  • No scraping, hacking, reverse-engineering, or illegal content.
  • We may change, suspend, or end services at any time.
  • You must be 18+ or have guardian consent to place orders or enter contracts.

Accounts & sign-in

  • Keep credentials secure; you’re responsible for your account activity.
  • Sign-in via email/password or Google. Using Google authorises us to receive basic profile info.
  • We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms or the law.

Orders & delivery

Store / Collection / Delivery

  • Your order is accepted when we confirm it.
  • ETAs are estimates, not guarantees.
  • Delivery requires accurate details and being in our radius.

Cancellations

  • Once prep starts for perishable items, cancellations may not be possible.
  • Where required by law, you retain statutory rights.

Allergies & dietary needs

We take care with allergens; however, our grills and prep areas may handle common allergens and cross-contamination cannot be fully ruled out. If you have a severe allergy, please speak to us first. Allergen information is available on request.

Catering & private events

  • Quotes & deposits. Quotes are valid for the period stated. A [25–50%] non-refundable deposit secures your date; balance due [7–14 days] before the event unless otherwise agreed.
  • Changes. Guest counts/menu usually adjustable until [7 days] prior; significant changes may affect pricing.
  • Cancellations by you. 14+ days: deposit retained; 7–13 days: [50%] due; <7 days: 100% due. If we cancel within our control, you get a full refund.
  • Force majeure. We aren’t liable for events beyond our control (severe weather, venue issues, strikes, emergencies). We’ll try to re-book where possible.
  • Venue & utilities. Provide safe access, suitable space, and agreed utilities/permits. We follow food safety rules and may decline service if safety is compromised.

Refunds & problems

If something isn’t right, contact us as soon as possible (within 48 hours for quality issues; sooner during an event). Prepared/perishable food usually can’t be returned, but we’ll make it right where reasonable (replacement, credit, or refund at our discretion and in line with your statutory rights).

Reviews & user content

You’re responsible for content you submit. Don’t post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or infringing. You grant us a licence to display your review. We may moderate or remove content.

Intellectual property

Site design, text, recipes, photos and logos are our or our licensors’ intellectual property. Please don’t reuse without permission.

Third-party services

We integrate with third parties (e.g., payments, Google auth). They have their own terms and privacy policies which govern your use of their services.

Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and non-mandatory terms.
  • Our total liability related to the site or a specific order is limited to the amount you paid for the affected item/service in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We don’t exclude liability for death/personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything that can’t be excluded by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (consumers in the EU/UK may have mandatory local protections).

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you (banner or email if you have an account). Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
